Here’s a quick recipe for anti-inflammatory detox water that can greatly improve your skin, health and help you lose weight if you drink it daily. You need only 5 ingredients, and one of them is water. 


For the last few years, I’ve been trying to live my best life through diet and exercise. It’s become a passion of mine, and I can’t wait to share all that I have done for my body with you!

For many of us, we simply need to drink more water, myself included. The easiest way I have found to drink more water is by simply flavoring it with fruits and veggies. I love detox drinks. Not because I think they will magically change my body composition and get rid of toxins even if I eat junk food all day.

I love them because they’re an easy way to add antioxidants and more anti-inflammatory foods to my diet.



I’ve been dreaming of a flat tummy for ages. I have endometriosis, and bloated belly is one of my biggest problems. Not only because I look pregnant most of the time, but also because I want my healthy body back. 

Achieving a flat belly starts with what you are putting into it. You want to focus on adding anti-inflammatory foods. While detox water isn’t going to burn fat for you, it may help with a flatter belly and de-bloating. In this Detox Water Recipe, I use ginger to reduce inflammation, and it also has antioxidant properties. Lemons provide the cleansing effect of citric acid to help clear out the digestive system. While grapefruit or oranges contain flavonoids in the peel and juice that stimulate the immune system, they also protect the body against a fungi/pests while helping to reduce cholesterol levels.

Lemon is a mild natural diuretic, and I find that when I’m good about hydration, I feel lighter. One study found that lemon may help with weight loss or management. Water is also really important for skin health. According to UWHealth, “Drinking at least 8 glasses a day will help rid the body and skin of toxins. Everyone will not agree that water consumption will improve the skin, but it certainly can’t hurt. Many people often report that by increasing their water intake, their skin has a more radiant glow. Those who suffer from acne have reported the same results.” 

One of my favorite ingredients to any water recipe is mint as it helps the body digest more easily, and it also soothes any stomach cramps you may have.

Drinking this ginger lemon water is a simple way to improve your skin, your health, digestion, and to make your belly flatter.

And let’s face it, this lemon ginger water can also help you lose weight because it suppresses appetite and can help control blood sugar.

This lemon ginger detox water is super refreshing, helps me drink less coffee, but more water, and therefore makes me feel more hydrated and energized and less bloated.

Oh, YES! Detox water is a great way of losing weight because to lose weight, and you need to drink water. And water doesn’t contain any calories, so you can drink all you want! The general idea of drinking detox water is to flush your body and rid it of any toxins quicker than plain old water. 

But just drinking this detox water isn’t going to allow for a flat belly overnight. You need to change your daily routine. A proper diet that is rich with anti-inflammatory foods is a great way to start 20 minutes of exercise a day as well as supplements to help reach your daily goal on nutrients we otherwise aren’t getting.



It’s super easy! 

There are so many different options to make this. Here is how I do it: 

Just grab your favorite pitcher or jug and fill it with spring water.

Slice all the fruit and mint and put it into the pitcher.

Stir and refrigerate.

You will need:

½ gallon spring water
½ grapefruit sliced
2-3 mint leaves
½ lemon (lime) sliced
2 tbsp grated ginger

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher.

Allow the ingredients to chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving. Drink throughout the day or discard after 24 hours.
